Hayley & Chris Get Married
0

You will remember this wonderful couple from their "Library Confidential" { engagement shoot } of a few weeks back -- we have become such good friends in the interim, and I feel like they are my own family. Hayley has a joy and light around her that is very palpable. There were lots of tears at this { Fearrington } wedding, and the sweet, scrunched-up look on Chris' face in many of the images below is his valiant attempt to choke them back! But first, time to get ready:

Chris has said that they go so well together because Hayley is the spicy mustard to his ketchup (he's a redhead), so he had an artist create this wonderful original piece for her:

Hayley and her mom, Dody, who is also one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting. She left me a voicemail after the wedding that made me cry. Love her.

See how loving she is? That's Dody hugging Chris' mom before the ceremony. Sigh..

Chris' dad performed the ceremony, and I love this moment that Rebecca caught of them beforehand:

The weather at Fearrington was ominous until moments before the ceremony, when the sun broke through the clouds just in time for their vows:

Hayley, I know this is a moment you wanted captured, and sure enough he is about to lose it:

Kerry & Joe Get Married
You'll enjoy this lovely fall wedding in one of the most unique and beautiful ceremony locations I've seen yet: the Forest Theatre on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. It is a stone amphitheater built into the side of hill, and drama was first performed there in 1916, with construction completed in 1940 by the Works Progress Administration. The day's logistics were beautifully handled by Nancy Congleton, with whom I've had the pleasure of working several times.

Kerry and Joe live in New York now, but are both UNC alums, and the weekend was a great reunion for all of their many friends. The party was at the Carolina Inn, so the bridal party walked through campus to the reception, stopping traffic and creating a striking image against the fall colors.

Kerry's room at the Carolina Inn was perfect backdrop for her gorgeous Melissa Sweet gown.

What a gorgeous bridal party -- love the two-toned dresses.
**A special shout-out to the lovely Whitney W. (far right), who just celebrated her first anniversary, and who introduced me to Kerry and Joe. Thank you, Whitney!**

Aubree & Ali's Friday Ceremony
Here's an interesting story: Aubree and Ali met at college, where he was a star soccer player and she was a star student. He is Muslim, she was raised Catholic. He went on to play pro soccer and she became a talent agent in L.A. Last month they were married here in North Carolina, where she grew up and where they met and fell in love. Friends and family flew in from all over the world (take a look at the wonderful “Six Degrees of Aubree and Ali” diagram that they made for their guests which you can see in Matthew's post).

On Saturday they were married on the campus of Guilford College in a traditional Christian ceremony, which Matthew got to photograph (I was busily shooting Morgan's beautiful wedding across town), but on Friday night Aubree and Ali had a traditional Muslim ceremony, which I was privileged enough to be able to witness:

Morgan & Brad Get Married
Morgan and Brad got married a few weeks ago, and the wedding was joyful and BIG -- they have lots of friends and family! They got married in her home church and the party was at The Empire Room in downtown Greensboro:

Morgan getting her makeup done by our mutual friend Katie R., whose engagement session was a big hit with blog readers:

Their were lots of children in the ceremony, including Morgan's niece Kennedy, at right:

Sometimes being a flower girl can be very stressful...

Sweet moment between Morgan and her dad just before they go down the aisle together:

Just married!

Father/daughter dance:

The Reality Show Band was so much fun -- they set the tone for the entire evening, and the dance floor was always crowded. Morgan got up on stage to strut her stuff:

Rebecca caught this amazing shot of one of the band members doing "the worm"....

...and this is also her shot of the bouquet catch:

Morgan and Brad and Morgan's parents on the dancefloor near the end of the evening:

Congratulations!!!!
