a midsummer wedding: andrea + michael
If it weren't for the occasional iPhone poking out of someone's sparkly clutch or dapper coat pocket, I could have sworn this wedding took place in 1953 in the Principality of Monaco. Andrea is one of those luminous beauties who is even more stunning because she pays no attention to how people see her -- she is even a tad bit goofy, which makes her very appealing. But boy, does the camera love her. As does her husband, as you can see here! They met on the tennis court while both were students at Elon, and they now live in DC. You might remember her { bridal portraits } from a few weeks back. In a word: YUM.
A few credits: the pink paper flowers on the vintage car were handmade by the bride and her mom and sister (a correction to my earlier assertion that they came from Etsy -- sorry!). The shot of them recessing down the aisle (one of my favorites) was taken from the choir loft by { Traci }, as was the cool scene-setter of the vintage car in front of the reception venue. As usual, she is capturing light in incredible ways. The last two shots in this post (bouquet toss and exit) are by { Marissa Kaplan }, a college student who has been interning with me each summer for the past four years. She is a rising senior at Boston College, and has an incredible eye -- keep your own eye out for her work in the coming years. Boston photog peeps: you'd be lucky to get her on board if you can.
Enjoy this lovely, elegant Southern soiree. Grace Kelly herself would have loved it.
Event Coordination: Erin McLean Events
Ceremony: Our Lady of Grace
Reception: Greensboro Country Club
Dress: Priscilla of Boston
Flowers: Botanica
